Unlike traditional methods that focus solely on reducing noise, the soundscape perspective considers the acoustic environment alongside human perception and experience. It emphasizes that how we perceive our sonic surroundings is just as important as the objective properties of the sounds themselves.Research into soundscape perception has gained momentum over the past decade. While much of the focus has been on outdoor environments, there is a growing interest in understanding and shaping soundscapes within indoor spaces as well.
