STÜCKwis is the Bachelor thesis of Fabienne Grogg, completed in 2025 at the Institut Innenarchitektur, Hochschule Luzern – Technik & Architektur. The project transforms the former brickworks in Horw-Luzern into a gastronomic space, based on a precise analysis of the existing building. Each room is treated as an independent character, preserving visible load-bearing structures, historic timber joints, and concrete or roof elements. Additive interventions such as clay plaster, acoustic elements, and pigments enhance the existing fabric without dominating it. Materiality, color, and light are carefully coordinated to create distinct yet harmonious spatial atmospheres, where heritage and contemporary use engage in dialogue.
