SISU_LINE 2B The Impact of Space

The 2-part spatial research magazine SISU_LINE #2 of the Estonian Association of Interior Architects brings together the topic of how space affects people and people affect space, or what human interventions inspire us. Part B focuses on the creation of space as a process. Patrice Girod and Evelyne Merkx, whose ambitious bookstore in the Gothic cathedral of Maastricht has, as a provocative example, enlivened the discussion of rethinking church space, share their experiences. Andres and Liisa Põime, architects and interior designers from the embassy in Beijing, talk about Estonia's own representative space. EKA lecturers Arhitekt Must, Jaan Tiidemann and Kadri Klementi discuss how to set up spatial installations in a way that emerges from theoretical teaching and speaks to users as a physical spatial experience. The SISU exhibition "Spatial Intervention" creates a visual image that reflects our own everyday observations and human activities in urban space in their randomness and unfinishedness, in anticipation.
