Andrum is the 2025 Bachelor thesis by Eveline Herrmann and Isabelle Schaad at Hochschule Luzern – Technik & Architektur, Institut für Innenarchitektur. Set in the former Horw brickworks, the project structures space through movement, atmosphere, and human scale rather than functional zoning. Following the principle of path and place, the design traces the journey of materials once transported via the historic cableway, integrating the building’s history and culinary experiences. Spaces unfold naturally, transitions are intuitive, and the architecture quietly accompanies daily life, emphasizing comfort, narrative, and subtle spatial sequences.
